Sunday Services

We hold a service in church every Sunday, of different types.

A Family Service on the first Sunday at 4pm, an informal yet hopefully reverent short service for children between the ages of 3 and 93, usually with an activity.

Holy Communion from the Book of Common Prayer on the second Sunday at 8.30am (no hymns), followed by breakfast for those who want to stay.

Evensong from the Book of Common Prayer on the third Sunday at 6.30pm. We sing 4 hymns, a psalm and two canticles. It's amazing what can be done without organ accompaniment.

Sung Communion from Common Worship on the fourth Sunday at 10am, when we have organ accompaniment for the hymns. We also sing the Gloria to plainsong, the Sanctus to Picardy, and an acclamation to a Mission Praise chorus tune.

Compline on the fifth Sunday at 6.30pm, a short monastic service usually with some plainsong.
